Declaration of Autonomous Status

St. Joseph’s College for Women, Alappuzha, proudly marks a new chapter with the Declaration of Autonomous Status and the inauguration of Project Indlingua AI. The event features distinguished dignitaries, inspiring keynote addresses, and the official launch of an AI-driven initiative aimed at empowering education through innovation. Congratulations to all the sisters, staff and students for the beautiful organisation of the programme.
As we step into a new era of Autonomous status with Academic freedom and AI-enabled education we remember with gratitude all who toiled, offered sacrifices and prayers for the growth of our college.

Our new Canossian house at Atlima, Odisha of South East Delegation was blessed on 04th November 2025 by the Bishop of Berampur. May God bless our sisters.

JWALA 2024

The Canossian Youth meet JWALA 24 was a momentous event that brought together approximately 350 youth with their sisters in charge from 15 communities across 5 regions -Kannur, Ernakulam, Alleppey, Kollam and Trivandrum. This gathering marked the culmination of the 250th birth anniversary celebrations of St. Magdalene of Canossa, the founder of the Canossian congregation.

Youth Meet - IGNITE k'2024

The “Youth Meet – IGNITE K’2024 was a resounding success, held as a dynamic one-day event inaugurated by Rev. Dr. Alex Vadakkumthala, Bishop of Kannur. Organized by KCBC in collaboration with the Canossian Fathers and Sisters, where the celebration honored the 250th birth anniversary of St. Magdalene of Canossa. With around 600 participants along with priests and religious from the Kannur-Irritty Forane.The day was marked by music, value orientation sessions and vibrant activities conducted by the Downtown Disciples Band and culminated by solemn Holy Eucharist.
